Neil Peart drum solo - the Professor of Percussion

 (The late Neil Peart ("Peert"), known as the drummer for the band Rush, was known as a magnificent master of percussion. This drum solo captures his skills at time signatures, styles, and melodic opportunities. 

Within his performance are African rhythms and marching band styles as well as jazz leaders. Neil, seen here in Frankfurt, Germany, did this routine in the midst of a two-hour set with the band. And yes, at the end, he's using a pedal to kick off those horns.
