But back then, it was a fundamental MUST if you planned to play one-on-one against anyone else and win. Earl could move THROUGH an opponent's body, it seemed--or at least, that's what it looked like.

Connie Hawkins talks about Wilt Chamberlain and Jumpin' Jackie Jackson

If you read Connie Hawkins's biography, "Foul," he tells the story how Jackie would take off on a fast break from the top of the key, and while still airborne, lower the ball to his waist, then up over his head--TWICE--and THEN slam-dunk. It was called a "double doo-berry with a cherry on top.
Regarding the Wilt story-game where Jackie blocked that shot: Connie said Wilt just glared at Jackie, but didn't say a word. And yes: the next 15 plays were dunks that bounced HIGHER than the rim after they hit the ground.
