Word choices for...the rabbit or the hare?

 


(Sigh.) I have no filter when it comes to quips, jokes, and puns that fly out of my mouth. If it's something that gets laughs, I am sure to figure a way to say it to others.

I am also sure that if a spaceship landed and I was the first person to greet the travelers, I would say something that might get me vaporized in a flash of light.

Or maybe not.

Anyway, a friend posted something on Facebook: "He who chases two rabbits will catch neither. Choose your battles carefully."

(And me, being a classic wiseguy, wrote back), "More importantly, choose your rabbits/battles carefully. You might be a hare off the mark!"

(Obviously, a play-on-words about rabbits and hares.)
